Back by popular demand, it’s anutha round o’ song titles for the Speedbowl troops. For those who don’t know, last year the Speedbowl events were rained out for for the first 3 weeks after getting just the Saturday portion of opening weekend. Towards the end of that stretch the ol’ jp.com forum was hoppin’ with chatter and many were just too over-anxious to go racing, so I dediced in my boredom to mix it up a little. I sorted my itunes by artist alphabetically one night, then read down the entire list of songs and jotted down any name in the Speedbowl community that came to mind when I saw a song title.
Reading last year’s list now, there’s a lot that’s changed in Speedbowl land (we were just off the J-Rob express and fresh into the new BOD age, we lost Jay Miller and Debra Jordan within the last 9 months prior, etc) so I figured why not do it again with some of the new stuff going on (track renovations, Blast Off, pit party, etc). And since, in my true useless-knowledge-geek form, I just kept writing down song titles on post-it notes afterward, we got all kinds of tunes on here and some from well beyond what’s in my itunes library. Anyway, there might be some inside jokes that only a few may get (stay with me Cliff!) but hopefully everyone will have a couple o’ chuckles readin’ this year’s edition….
