A profile of the Yankee All Star League events from the late 1970’s where 3 New England tracks (Waterford, Thompson and Star) each held two 50-lap Modified events for a 6-race series that tallied points and crowned champions. In 1978, it expanded to 7 tracks each holding a single 100-lap race. This was the final year of the series that attracted some of the biggest names in Modified racing from New England, Western New York and Long Island to compete against other.
