Actually thought I had a good bite on the upcoming season reading press releases now and then this winter. Then last week I read about Eddie with no ride, Rocco in a SK at Stafford and I realized… I got no clue what’s goin’ on. But hey, it’s the cram time before the long season so I lost track on the latest news.
I did however read this press release calling my boy ‘chard ‘the man to beat in the mini’s’ – well, no sheet, huh? That’s what I’m talkin’ about. Don’t just sing it, bring it homeboy… Expectations are high (whose aren’t) so let’s get it started…
I gotta say I was pretty down on the sportsman for a couple seasons. Back a few years, it was all about Corey and Moose, then Monahan and Dupree, then I don’t know what happened? But last year was outta control. Championship lead changed about 4 times during the last race!!!! And seems as if most of the other heavy hitters will all be back…should still be a good battle
SK field is crazy. I think the title is wide open. Maybe close to 10 guys who could win it. Late Models – not sure what this division will be like. Some big names gone, some new guys coming in. Hopefully they’ll have some great races again this year.
And don’t forget this new rule about dropping your worse 2 finishes. Not sure how I feel about this or if it’s even a big deal. My first reaction was that it sucked – thinking of how it would have changed minis in our favor last year. But the season wouldn’t have played out the same and everyone would have strategize differently – so eventually I calmed down. Guess well have to wait and see….
Some more preseason ramblings….
Including the upcoming season, Diego will be the only guy I can think of who’s run a full season in each of the current weekly divisions? Was there some one else….
